You want them off the couch and off their phones — but in Nocatee, "go find something to do" usually means a parking lot or a screen. The Teen Lounge is a staffed, substance-free space inside The Link. The Teen Lounge gives teens independence while still being part of a real membership community with clear expectations. Adult staff are on-site, access is controlled, and members agree to our rules and code of conduct. There is no required activity schedule. Teens can study, play games, work on projects, meet friends, or simply hang out. Optional activities and experiences are built around what teens tell us they're interested in.
What do you actually do around Nocatee?
Ride ebikes and golf carts. Hit the pool. Post up at Starbucks. Or stay home and scroll. Not because that's what you want — it's just what was left. Nobody built anything for teens here. So we did. The teens who use it decide what it becomes.
A teenager isn't a customer to be entertained. A teenager is a builder who hasn't been handed the tools yet.

We asked before we built.
We sat down with dozens of Nocatee teens and asked one question: what's actually missing? The answers barely varied — somewhere to hang, good setups, food, and no one hovering. The teens run it from here.

Why we built this.
I built The Link as a place where people come to build things, meet people, and turn ideas into something real. We kept seeing the same gap for teenagers: there were plenty of scheduled activities, but very few places that were simply theirs.
That's what we want the Teen Lounge to become. Not another class. Not another program telling teens what to do. A home base where they can meet friends, explore what they're interested in, try things, create things, and help decide what happens next. And now we're making membership free so more local teens can be part of it.
